Special Events Heritage Days is a festival held in Cumberland every year on the second full week in June. Emanuel Church is always open, welcoming visitors and tourists. Points of interest are:Tours of the Church, its artwork, and tunnels;Lunches at the Olde Fort Inn, featuring home made strawberry shortcake, home made chicken, ham or egg salad sandwich on pita, hot dogs for the kids, chips, ice tea or lemonade served in air conditioned comfort; Encampment – 2005 is the 250th Anniversary of Fort Cumberland. Emmanuel will host an encampment of French and Indian War era re-enactors over Heritage Days weekend. The Fourth of July Fort Cumberland Celebrations, sponsored by the City of Cumberland, will feature Emmanuel Church, built on the site of the fort.
